The Beginning: A Problem Worth Solving
It all started with a simple frustration. In the early days of Discord's explosive growth, users everywhere were struggling with the same issue: their carefully chosen profile pictures were being cropped awkwardly into squares, cutting off important details.
Traditional avatar makers at the time were designed for circular formats (thanks to platforms like Twitter and Facebook), leaving Discord, Steam, and gaming platform users without a dedicated solution.

Our Journey: A Timeline
The Concept
Initial research and development began. We studied how different platforms handle avatar images and identified the need for a square-first approach.
First Prototype
The first working prototype was shared with a small community of beta testers. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Public Launch
Square Face Generator officially launched. Within the first month, over 10,000 avatars were created.
Style Expansion
We introduced multiple art styles including Anime, Kawaii, Pixel Art, and Chibi.
