Create Your Square Face Avatar
First, you'll need to create your perfect square face avatar using our generator.
- Go to SquareFaceGenerator.net
- Customize your face, eyes, hair, and accessories
- Take your time - this will represent you on Discord!
Discord Tip
Choose colors that contrast well with Discord's dark theme for maximum visibility!

Export at the Right Size
Discord recommends specific sizes for profile pictures. Here's what you need to know:
- 256x256 - Recommended minimum size
- 512x512 - Best quality for high-DPI displays
- PNG format - Keeps your avatar crisp and clear
In our generator, click "Download" and select 256x256 or 512x512.

Open Discord User Settings
Now let's get into Discord to upload your new avatar:
- Open Discord (desktop or web app)
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) next to your username at the bottom left
- You're now in User Settings
Mobile Users
On mobile: Tap your profile icon → Tap your avatar to change it directly!

Upload Your Avatar
Time to set your new profile picture!
- In User Settings, you should see your current avatar
- Click "Edit User Profile"
- Click on your avatar or the "Change Avatar" button
- Select the square face image you downloaded
- Adjust the crop if needed (our avatars are already perfect squares!)
- Click "Apply"

You're Done!
Your new square face avatar is now live on Discord!
- It may take a few seconds to update everywhere
- Check how it looks in different servers
- Ask your friends what they think!
Server Icons Too!
If you own a Discord server, you can also use square face avatars as server icons. Just go to Server Settings → Overview → Upload Image!
